The course concentrates on developing the skills required to effectively manage people in the workplace and focuses on the importance of financial aspects when making decisions. Effective use of computing software, including the use of spreadsheet programs, databases and word processing applications will underpin the skills obtained from the successful completion of this course.
This course aims at developing an innovative and entrepreneurial attitude to management by studying a range of units designed to enhance advanced skills in management. The course includes units on effective financial management and industrial relations policies and processes and prepares students for a more advanced treatment of management subjects in the Advanced Diploma of Business Management.
Prepare and execute a project plan in consultation with the program facilitator and analyse the outcomes.
Implement procedures for the monitoring, maintenance and evaluation of selected managerial strategies, and employ techniques to influence others to achieve organisational goals.
Demonstrate an understanding of current issues in management, including theories and constructs, together with the history and evolution of management practices.
This qualification aims at providing the knowledge and skills required for a person who intends to work in a marketing or sales role, under the direction of a marketing or promotions manager. The units of competency include analysis of specific markets and consumer behaviour and the coordination of team activities.
This course provides students with the opportunity to obtain knowledge of the principles of the marketing philosophy and develop advanced skills and techniques used by marketing practitioners in a competitive business environment. On completion of this course students will be able to apply for specific marketing positions. The practical skills that are acquired by studying this course are in demand by large organisations as well as small businesses and companies. Students interested in further training in the marketing field may also apply for admission to the Advanced Diploma of Business (Marketing).
The Advanced Diploma of Business (Marketing) introduces and expands on specialised aspects of marketing such as strategic, services and direct marketing, product management and research. These areas of study are examined, researched and applied by students to encourage professional development of skills to be used in the workforce. The course builds on the foundation obtained from the Certificate of Business (Marketing) and the Diploma of Business (Marketing).
