This course is for students under the age of 18 who are planning to undertake High School studies in a High School.
The course comprises:
English language training, academic study skills development; introduction to school subjects (Eg. Mathematics, Business Studies, Computing), supervised self-study and homework plus social and sports activities.
The minimum age for this course is 16 years.

Students in Year 10 undertake subjects that include English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Commerce, Computing Studies, Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE). Students DO NOT receive a year 10 School Certificate but can progress directly to year 11. |

Students prepare for the NSW Higher School Certificate - the most recognised pathway for University entry. Subjects include: English: ESL, English: Standard/ Advanced, Fundamentals of English, Mathematics 2 Unit, Mathematics Extension 1, Business Studies, Earth and Environmental Science, Software Design & Development, Information Processing and Technology, Chinese Background Speakers, Japanese Beginners. Arrangements will be made for other subjects whenever possible.

This course begins in the fourth term of Year 11 or the fast track course beginning in January and continues through to Year 12 right up to the Higher School Certificate Examinations in the following year. Australian law requires that parents must nominate a responsible adult to be the guardian for their son/daughter if they are under 18 years of age when they commence their studies in Australia.
If parents are not able to nominate a guardian, Uniworld High School can arrange homestay accommodation for you. Please contact the school for more information or refer to the guardian section of the High School Enrolment Form.
N.B. The guardian nominated by your parents will be considered by the College to have the legal authority to make decisions in all matters including education, accommodation, personal safety and emergency medical treatment. |
